Who We Are

The Corner is Sheffield's young people's (under 18's) substance misuse service. We provide support and treatment to young people under 18 in the Sheffield area who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. We also provide advice and information to family members and significant others who may be worried about or affected by a young person's substance misuse. We also offer group work and free training for Sheffield based professionals and a prescribing service.

What We Do

We offer full assessment and treatment for substance misuse problems. Through our one-to-one work we deliver effective interventions which promote positive change. This can include drugs advice and information and harm reduction work as well as structured psycho-social sessions.

We deliver targeted group work sessions for vulnerable young people which provide education and advice to prevent and reduce the harms of drugs and alcohol. These sessions are run across the city in a wide range of venues and are tailored to suit the needs of each client group.

We provide training sessions to other professionals working with young people in Sheffield. These are available free of charge to anyone supporting young people in our city. We have a rolling programme of training days and we can also provide in-house training tailored to the needs of each organisation. Call us to book either of these training options.

We offer a flexible and accessible service. We accept telephone referrals from young people, family members/concerned others and professionals. We are happy to offer support at our city centre base, at client's homes or any other suitable venue.

We can also provide a prescribing service and prescribing treatment to young people experiencing problems with opiates. We also offer harm reduction advice to clients who are injecting drugs.

For further support options we also offers telephone advice and information to clients, their families and workers.
Call us for more information about our drop-in sessions.

We also provide opportunities for volunteering, please contact us if you would be interested in working alongside us.
Please note we only have limited spaces for volunteering.
