Stop & Search
Many young people in Sheffield have had experiences, good and bad, with the police. Some of them have even been searched by the police for weapons or drugs.
This page has been produced with young people attending Unity Gym Project, who believe it is important to know your rights if stopped by the police. They have contributed stories of their experiences, tips and advice for anyone who finds themselves being stopped by the police. There is also info about potential consequences for being found in possession of a bladed article (like a knife), cannabis or Class A drugs and other useful links. |
